About

A very salon-friendly haircut suitable for all hair types. Learn how to cut a versatile mid-length shape with curtain bangs that create soft, blended layers and a natural flow. Using elevation and over-direction, you’ll add movement and balance throughout the cut. The curtain bangs are crafted with a razor for a soft, face-framing finish. This look is flexible—you can skip the bangs, change the fringe type, or add face-framing layers depending on your client’s preferences. What I’ll share and what you’ll learn: • Building finger strength for better control • Body positioning for precision and consistency • Elevation and over-direction techniques to create shape, build movement, and protect the perimeter • Creating seamless layers with a natural flow by using square layers through the back and triangular layers through the sides and top to build an internal shape that adds softness, keeps weight through the front, and protects the perimeter • Razor techniques for soft, face-framing bangs Tips: • This cut works beautifully on curly hair. The internal shape stays square through the back and elongates toward the front. Just be sure to leave the bangs slightly longer, as curly hair tends to bounce up. • For curly textures, be ready to adjust your technique. The key is to check the shape as you go and modify it to suit both the hair and the final look you want to achieve.
